About Dr. Moojan Donaldson

Dr. Moojan Donaldson obtained her Pharm.D. Degree (doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences) from USC in 1991. She completed a residency program in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy with an emphasis in Psychopharmacology.

Dr. Donaldson used her years of experience and expertise in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences to invent a new approach to hair loss and hair thinning. It’s unique and a first in its kind. Dr. Donaldson evaluates each patient based on their own individual parameters and formulates a customized serum that targets hair regrowth (on scalp, eyebrows). She has had almost 85% response in 100% of her patients who have committed and stayed on their hair serum for at least a year, as evidenced by all the before and after pictures. This treatment option was designed very intricately and delicately as to not cause any side effects so that patients can be compliant with the course of therapy. What good is a treatment if patients can’t be compliant with it?

I was devastated when I started losing clumps of hair in my early 40s. It wasn’t only that I was losing hundreds and hundreds of strands of hair every day but my hair was getting thinner, looked unhealthy and stringy, brittle and dull, split ends and breakage, and THE WORST PART, my once luscious, beautiful, shinny healthy hair would not grow long any more. I started seeking medical help. We started with checking my thyroid function, then checked my iron levels, moved to checking other vitamin and mineral levels, measured my hormone levels, considered stress factors, and ended up examining my nutrition and daily exercise routine. There was nothing wrong with my thyroid glands, nor was there anything wrong with my parathyroid glands. My hormone levels were indicative of perimenopause and nothing was really off.

I started on bio identical hormones thinking they would help. Aside from helping me with my hot flashes and night sweats, nothing good happened for my hair thinning and hair loss. We added a few more vitamins to my diet, omitted a few things from my daily diet, exercised a bit more, tried meditation and yoga some and still I had the same declining ugly doll hair that was thinning away every day. Oh don’t get me wrong, I did feel better in so many ways but none of the medical and non medical attempts helped improved the health of my hair. I refused to believe that in this day and age with all the medical technology and knowledge of human physiology, that one cannot come up with a solution to such a simple problem. Okay I’m being sarcastic about it being a simple problem. I didn’t give up as I used to pride myself for my beautiful, thick, shiny and healthy hair that was no more.

Being a clinical pharmacist, having intimate knowledge of medicines, their pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, I decided to tackle this issue myself. After years of research, a thorough understanding of the nature of hair loss and hair thinning along with my knowledge of prescription medicines and supplements, I was finally able to offer a solution to hair loss that no one else could offer me.

I tried everything out there, old wives tales included and received absolutely no results.

My simple curiosity and perseverance for the return of healthy hair back on my head forced me to use my pharmacological knowledge and a bit of invasion and creativity to invent not only a new hair product but also a new approach to hair loss and hair thinning.

There are many different reasons why men and women of all ages lose their hair. For the most part, no matter what the cause of hair loss, this unique invention along with our approach of individualized patient care will negate and reverse most hair loss and help regrow the person’s natural hair.
